Advances in Graphene Materials and Applications – GIANCE and MUNASET Joint Workshop Attracts Over 65 Participants

On 10 November 2025, the GIANCE and MUNASET projects successfully hosted the online workshop “Advances in Graphene Materials and Applications”, engaging more than 65 participants from academia, industry, and innovation networks across Europe.

The event — coordinated by PNO Innovation in collaboration with Graphenea — highlighted the latest scientific and technological advances in graphene synthesis, biosensing applications, and multifunctional materials, showcasing how graphene is bridging the gap between research and industrial applications.

Speakers from leading European organisations, including Graphenea, Sixonia, Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz, BCMaterials, and EURECAT, presented insights on CVD graphene, graphene oxide materials, peptide-functionalised graphene for biomarker detection, and graphene-based composites, coatings, and foams.

The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, reinforcing the shared mission of GIANCE and MUNASET: to advance the innovation ecosystem for graphene and related materials across Europe — from fundamental research to industrial uptake.
